Chief Building Services Janitorial Services – Hiring Practices

We interview and thoroughly screen candidates for ability, character and temperament. We consider only those candidates with proper work credentials. We verify all employees through the Department of Homeland Security and its E–Verification System. We are knowledgeable in matters affecting the hiring of personnel, including naturalization and immigration laws.
We Staff Each New Building from Three Sources:
- Existing employees currently working at the building, ONLY if they meet the strict standards of Chief Building Services.
- Current Chief Building Services Janitorial employees from other locations.
Most importantly, we use NO Warm Body Hires. Only carefully screened applicants have the opportunity of being a Chief Building Services Employee.
- New employees who receive in-depth training to ensure that the high standards expected by Chief Building Services and its clients are maintained.
Chief Building Services Janitorial Employee Training Program
Our thorough employee training program ensures that no steps are omitted. We utilize classroom training, video training, practical application, chapter quizzes, and a final exam. We consider our program a mini-boot camp for all of our employees.
Classroom Training Includes:
- Cleaning Methods and Specifications
- Types of and Operation of Equipment
- Chemicals and their safe use, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Blood Borne Pathogen Programs
- Customer Relations
- Security Procedures
Testing
After all employees have successfully completed the Classroom training, which includes a comprehensive final exam, they are assigned to a jobsite for their continued education.
On-site, Continued Training
- New employees are assigned an area, group or task, always with an on-site Supervisor.
- The Supervisor on site works with and instructs new employees to meet customer specifications.
- Inspection and oversight are vital to quality training.
